Sugarcane - the dominant crop globally

Almost two billion tons of sugarcane are harvested globally each year, making it the most widely grown crop on Earth, according to visualcapitalist.com, which presents a ranking of global crop production in 2024, based on data from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations.
